Cleared for landing: power supply facilities of the Minsk national airport automated based on Prosoft-Systems solutions
At the end of last year, the Minsk National Airport implemented an automated dispatch-control system for power systems and an automated system of energy resource technical record-keeping based on ProSoft-Systems hardware and software products. Integration work was carried out as part of a project to build a second paved runway, including auxiliary facilities, equipped with CAT III precision approach system intended for A-380 type aircraft.
The lower level of the implemented systems is based on the ARIS 28XX controllers. The devices collect real-time technical data about the operation of substation equipment and power distribution stations, then transmit that data to the upper-level operations personnel of the Minsk National Airport.
The upper level of the automated dispatch-control system for power systems consists of servers and an automated workstation with the Redkit software package. Data collection, processing, long-term storage and rendering on the display wall and user automated workstations are carried out here, as well as the ability to form remote control commands.
The upper level of the automated system of energy resource technical record-keeping consists of servers and an automated workstation with the Energosfera 8 software package. The Energosfera 8 software package provides a solution to metering issues by performing automated measurement data collection from metering devices, providing long-term metering data storage in a specialized database, processing raw data and presenting necessary data in various formats (graphs, tables, logs and reports) to the system's users.
Delivery and setup were completed by integrators in the Republic of Belarus at SinRubEnergo LLC, with the support of ProSoft-Systems, Ltd. Thanks to well-coordinated joint efforts, the automated systems were implemented in less than 6 months, from design work to putting into operation.
Ultimately, the customer received a comprehensive solution for automating power supply facilities. This allows the customer to have complete operational information about the equipment and ensures the power supply system's reliability and stability. Consequently, the automated systems reduce the risk of accidents and lower operating costs.
