Prosoft-Systems took part in IDGC of Urals innovative project
In January, a high-voltage remote metering station for commercial electricity-metering, the first in Russia, was put into trial operation at the Iskra CHP–VIZ 110 kV overhead line in Ekaterinburg. A new measurement principle was implemented through the use of a combined electronic sensor and its placement directly on the overhead line. Current and voltage values are converted into a digital signal and transmitted via a fiber-optic communication channel to an electricity meter.
Prosoft-Systems took part in implementing this pilot project. The company's engineers designed the smart commercial electricity-metering system on the basis of the I-TOR measuring complex developed by Electroengineering LLC.
Also, Prosoft-Systems specialists supplied and configured the company's proprietary equipment—an ARIS MT controller and a GSM/GPRS PGC communicator, which collects and transmits electricity and telemetry metering data to the servers of the data acquisition and transmission system and smart commercial electricity-metering system of EESK JSC.
The use of a new-generation measuring complex in conjunction with modern automation devices allows specialists from IDGC of Urals to place commercial metering stations anywhere on the power grid and obtain accurate data on power consumption. Additionally, due to the wide range of technical solutions offered by Prosoft-Systems, distributed telecontrol systems, fault recording systems and wide-area measurement systems can also be created based on the I-TOR.
