First RES-3 devices launched in Uzbekistan

Engineering company Prosoft-Systems continues to strengthen cooperation with the states of Central Asia. RES-3 fault recording systems, manufactured jointly with the JV OJSC Uzelektroapparat, were installed and put into operation all at once at the four power facilities of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Thanks to this technical solution, the Andizhanskaya HPP, the 220 kV Kasan substation, the 220 kV Karakalpakistan substation and the 110 kV Tekhnologicheskaya substation receive complete and accurate data in real time about emergency processes and their events. This helps quickly identify the root causes of equipment shutdown and assess the integrity of devices and systems at power facilities.

According to Evgeny Netunakhin, a representative of Prosoft-Systems in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the delivery and implementation of RES-3 recorders was an important step towards developing a partnership with the Relay Protection and Automation State Certification Commission Uzbekenergo for the updating and replacing outdated emergency control equipment for new generation devices. “Today, we also actively cooperate with Uzbekenergo to create a EC system as part of the implementation of projects to construct high-voltage lines 500 kV of Talimarjanskaya TPP–Sogdiana SS and Syrdarya TPP–Novo-Angrenskaya TPP,” Evgeny remarks.

Since 1995, more than 50 power facilities in the Republic of Uzbekistan have built telecontrol and commercial electricity-metering systems on the basis of Prosoft-Systems solutions. One of the country's largest thermal power plants, Talimardjanskaya TPP, implemented the ECAPS software and hardware package.
