Regul R500 PLC certified by the international organization OPC Foundation
The programmable logic controllers Regul R500 received a certificate of compliance with the standards of the OPC Foundation, an international organization that coordinates the development of technologies for managing automation facilities and technological processes.
The document confirms the successful completion of tests in the European Certification Laboratory and the compatibility of the equipment with the OPC UA (Unified Architecture) industrial protocol. Designed for the exchange of data in industrial automation systems, the OPC UA protocol is now considered to be the OPC standard of the new generation. It was developed in 2006 on the basis of open cross-platform technologies. The protocol establishes communication between theserver and client, regardless of the hardware and software platform or the types of interactive networks. Among its advantages is the ability to safeguard the identity of the client and server
information, establish a secure connection, and resist virus attacks.
Support for OPC UA is performed directly in the controller, which eliminates the need for deploying the protocol on servers and automated workstations. Because of this, the Regul R500 can interact directly with any client application or SCADA system that supports this standard, which provides easy integration and accelerates building the project.
The Regul R500 PLC certificate of compliance with OPC Foundation requirements was issued under the number 1804CE00A4. It is effective until January 31, 2021.
